Arcadia is not a utility or retail supplier. Signing up will not change who delivers your energy and will not automatically switch your utility or supplier.
In the past, if you lived in a state that was eligible for our Smart Rate program, we would start monitoring the market in your area for a lower rate for electricity or gas (if you lived in New York and had RG&E as your gas supplier). As soon as we would find a lower rate, we would send you an email to let you know, give you a chance to opt-out, and/or enroll you in a new rate with a new supplier. In these cases, your retail supplier would switch. There were no contracts or cancelation fees so customers could choose to switch back from the new supplier at any time.
